About "4"

"4," our company, aims to create play works that makes spectators join by realizing that "they own and create values of works to take part in. We started "PLAY TEA" in 2007.In these works, we exchange "tea" for "dance" or "play." The spectators ask us to come to a place they like. We dance or perform something and they give "tea" as payment. In these works, we try to create the play in the "here and now;" not only in the theater. 　

What is "4 PLAY TEA" ?

１　Please get some tea.
２　Make a cup of tea and give it to a performer.
３　You also drink a cup of tea, and talk with him/her.
４　After drink tea he/she gives you a performance.
５ After the performance, think about how many cups of
tea you should pay for him/her as fee.(in leaf)
６　Pay that amount of tea leafs you decided in process 5.

The artists who have ordered the PLAY TEA can give performances in the PLAY TEA.
Someone who has taken part in the PLAY TEA can also order the PLAY TEA.
